ARCHITECTURAL SYSTEMS

Standardized wood systems manufactured for modern residential and light commercial projects.

Prairie Barnwood manufactures fixed architectural wood systems designed for clarity, consistency, and performance. Our shelving, mantel, beam, and surface programs are built to standardized specifications and produced in our Manitoba facility. We do not manufacture furniture or cabinetry.

Shelving System

The Prairie Barnwood Shelving System offers fixed-dimension shelving designed for both strength and visual simplicity. Available in solid or hollow construction, these shelves support bracketed, floating, and wall-to-wall installations. Each piece is crafted to create clean lines and a refined architectural presence within the home.

Mantel & Hearth System

Our Mantel & Hearth System features solid and hollow mantel configurations built to consistent dimensional standards. Designed to suit both renovations and new construction, these pieces provide a timeless focal point above the hearth. The system ensures architectural consistency while preserving the warmth and character of natural wood.

Ceiling Beam System

Prairie Barnwood’s Ceiling Beam System includes engineered hollow and wrap beam configurations designed for ridge, truss, and header applications. Each beam is crafted to introduce structure, depth, and architectural rhythm to a space. The result is a ceiling feature that adds presence without unnecessary complexity.

Wood Top Systems

The Wood Top System includes fixed-dimension island tops and built-in surfaces. These pieces are designed to integrate seamlessly into cabinetry, millwork, and architectural layouts. Together they bring warmth, cohesion, and natural materiality to the most used spaces of the home.

stair component systems

Stair Components include stair treads, handrails, and newel posts.

Architectural Trim Systems

Trim Systems include pony wall caps, baseboards, door jambs, door stops, and window casings. These pieces are designed to integrate seamlessly into cabinetry, millwork, and architectural layouts. Together they bring warmth, cohesion, and natural materiality to the most used spaces of the home.
